Design Value: Beyond the Tangible

Interior designers craft many of our work and play spaces. Their work influences our performance, behaviour and the choices that we make. Design Value: Beyond the Tangible aims to bring this influence into focus and give the regions’ business leaders and policy makers an opportunity to embrace design as a strategic business tool.

Through vibrant presentations and dynamic dialogue, the two-day forum pushes the boundaries of spatial design to stimulate the subconscious and to launch an array of new ideas.  Think brand invention, evidence based design and beyond.

Each day of the forum begins with thought provoking keynote sessions with renowned speakers challenging us to look beyond material qualities and question our emotional response to the built environment in two focus areas – play space and work place. The program will also break into several networking opportunities to engage participants to explore the potential of design.

Design Value: Beyond the Tangible is the first of the Interiors Singapore Conference Series to be organised by the Interior Design Confederation Singapore in partnership with the Design Singapore Council and supporting industry sponsors

The Interiors Singapore Conference Series

The Interiors Singapore Conference Series is a catalyst to drive the interior design industry into supporting an array of activities throughout the region.

Comprising of three annual forums interspersed with regular roundtable events, the conference series provides a road map for the profession and defines the industry’s future relationships with business partners and the public. Through thought provoking forums and partnership opportunities, participants will be able to build upon their capabilities and initiate visionary design education policies for years to come.

The first of the series, Design Value: Beyond the Tangible provides the foundation for the Interiors Singapore Conference Series. The inaugural 2009 forum also serves as a platform to create inroads to international markets and clients and to launch new supporting business development programs.
